Come Swim at The Quarry in 2009!

 Opening Day is June 6, 2009
A home for summer fun since 1956. A place from the past where childhood memories live! Come join us at this historical swimming area with its rustic setting and make memories of your own.

Surrounded by the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, The Quarry lies in a serene setting of natural quarry rock, shade trees and grass-covered hillsides in Peninsula, Ohio.

Little swimmers can splash in the shallow waters or build dreams in the sand. More experienced swimmers will enjoy the diving boards extending from the broken edges of the Quarry walls. Visitors may pack a picnic for the day or enjoy a selection from the snack shack. Parking is ample and close by.

For those who would like to advance their swimming skills, The American Red Cross, Summit County Chapter offers 6 levels of "Learn to Swim" lessons during July and The Quarry also offers swim lessons in the morning. Life Guards certified by The American Red Cross are on duty at all times
 

The Quarry mission is to provide a safe, educational and affordable summertime swimming and recreational center for families in Peninsula, Boston Township and surrounding communities. Also, to preserve. operate and maintain this historic landmark as a valuable community resource and to foster an appreciation for the area's rich history.

Location

The Quarry is located in Peninsula, Ohio, on the south side of Ohio Route 303, 1'2 mile west of Riverview Rd.  It is operated by the Boston Township Community Service League, a non-profit affiliate of The United Way of Summit County.
